Your files

Files you open, paste or drop are read by your browser and processed on your device. They are not sent to CSVUtils or anyone else. The site has no upload endpoint and makes no network requests with your data.

What is stored on your device

When you change something, the workspace for that page (the original file bytes, import settings, the recipe and recent revisions) is saved in this browser’s IndexedDB so it survives a reload. Turn on “Private session” in the workbench to stop saving, or use “Delete local copy”. Your theme choice is stored in localStorage. A service worker caches the site’s own static files for offline use; it never caches your data.

Local storage is not a backup and is not encrypted by CSVUtils. Anyone with access to your browser profile can read it, and the browser may clear it.

Analytics and advertising

This build includes no analytics, session recording or third-party scripts. Space is reserved for advertising; if advertising is enabled in the future, this policy will be updated before it goes live, and ads will never be placed inside the workbench or receive your data.

Exports and reports

Downloads are generated in your browser. The run report contains counts and findings, not row values. The provenance report contains row identifiers and source record numbers.
